Embroidery Questions

A: We need a DST file for our machines.

Q: What type of file is needed to create an embroidery file?
A: We can use the following file types (JPG, PNG, TIFF, AI, EPS, PDF) to create an embroidery file.

Q: Are you able to use a picture of a logo to have it set up for embroidery?
A: We are not able to use the photo. We would have to use the photo to create print ready (vectored) artwork and then send that file to have an embroidery file set up.

Printing and Promotional Options Questions

Q: Where do I find ideas for promotional products?
A: You can browse our website search area, or simply call us for suggestions.

Q: What is the difference between Garment Printing and Screen Printing?
A: Garment Printing: AKA Direct to garment printing (DTG) is a digital print of your artwork directly on to the shirt. It is a four color process and does not print white ink, instead, any white in the art will show through to the color of the shirt. All of the colors are printed at the same time and there are no screens or different kinds of ink involved.

Screen Printing: the screen print process starts with the artwork being broken down into separate layers, one color on each layer. Each of these layers is then transferred on to a screen and the design is burned in. This burning process makes holes in the mesh of the screen so that when ink is pulled across the screen, it gets pushed through the mesh and onto your shirt. This is repeated for each of the layers (and colors) until the whole design is finished.

Q: What type of file do you use for Printing?
A: We require a .EPS or .AI file for printing.

Q: What is the best/ most cost effective material to print on?
A: 100% cotton in white,  would be your most cost effective option.

Q: Do I get to see a proof before printing?
A: With screen printed and promotional items we always provide a virtual proof before production begins. Garment printing is optional.

Q: What are Overruns / Under runs?
A: The actual quantity produced may be either over or under 10% of the amount ordered.  Because of the imprinting process, the actual quantity shipped will be the amount delivered and billed.
